Dr Hassen is available for extended consultations with regards to mental health difficulties. He has a special interest in the area and previously worked within the HSE mental health services around the country. He has worked in various areas of mental health such as general adult, psychiatry of later life and child/adolescent psychiatry previously. He has a special interest and experience in different aspects of mental health including depression, anxiety and burnout. Appointments for this type of consult is on Wednesday afternoons. This is not covered under the GMS card and is 30 minutes in duration.
Dr Deirdre has a special interest in dermatology having previously worked in the dermatology service in the hospital. If you have any queries with regards to unusual moles, warts, verrucas, ingrown toenails, acne or any other skin issues, please call and book an appointment with her.
We offer the full range of travel vaccines and we are also a certified yellow fever centre. Please book an appointment with Dr. Laura Cooke for a comprehensive review of your needs and review of travel health depending on your destination. There are group/family discounts available please ask at reception. It takes at least 1-2 weeks to get the vaccines from our suppliers.
Under 8 HSE GP care including childhood immunizations for our younger patients. The practice is able to cater for the requirements of children from their 2 week check onwards.
Routine blood checks and specific bloods can be booked in the practice. If you require specific bloods, you will need to book an appointment with the GP firstly.
Other services provided include; driving medicals, 24hr ambulatory blood pressure monitor, insurance medicals, smears (routine and private), driving medicals, ear syringing, wound care and dressings, ECG, vaccinations, minor surgical procedures with Dr Deirdre (e.g. ingrown toe nails, cryotherapy for warts/skin tags, removal of benign skin lesions etc.) and mole assessment.
