Dr Laura qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She then undertook postgraduate training in internal medicine and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2015. She then obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and worked for a period of time with Médecins Sans Frontiers (MSF) supporting HIV, TB and primary care services in Myanmar, Swaziland and Greece.

She holds a Masters in Public Health from UCC. She returned to Ireland to commence general practice training with The North Dublin City GP Training Programme in 2018, obtaining MICGP qualification in 2022. She has experience dealing with chronic disease, infectious disease, medicine for the elderly, inclusion and preventative health. She has a special interest in Travel health(vaccinations etc), Women's Health (including menopause) and Paediatrics.
