Dr Deirdre graduated from University College Dublin in the same class as Dr Hassen (that’s how they met). She completed vocational GP training in the midlands in 2014. She took over the practice in July 2018 from the previous management. She has worked in various different practices around South Country Dublin before taking over Belarmine Medical Centre.

Dr Deirdre has a Diploma in Women’s Health and has a number of special interests including dermatology, women’s health, fertility, paediatric/adolescent medicine and minor surgery. She has training in Mirena and Copper Coil insertion, along with expertise with regards to other means of contraception. She also offers extended consultations specifically for Menopause which include a check up on routine and hormonal bloods. Along with that, she does minor surgical procedures regularly. e.g cryotherapy for skin conditions and ingrown toenails.

She is a proponent of breastfeeding and is involved in promoting this within her field. She also has a diploma in Medicine of the Elderly and would have a wealth of experience managing elderly patients with complex comorbidities. 

Dr Deirdre grew up in Stillorgan and attended Mount Anville. Her hobbies include gardening and physical fitness. Her current working hours are as below if you would like to book in with her.
